The Olympic Games Closing Ceremonies 2021 will take place on August 8, 2021. The closing ceremony program will consist of the closing speeches, parade of the athletes, hoisting the flags, and Olympics’ flag handover. However, the closing ceremony will also include the artistic display of the present and the next host nation’s history and culture, which is France.

Closing Ceremonies Preparations
The Tokyo Olympics 2021 closing ceremony will be underway in 15 days of the opening ceremony. So, the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (TOCOG) will not get much time to prepare. That is why they have already taken the closing ceremony preparation.
The first report on Closing ceremony preparation came out in December 2017 as the over Olympic preparations. The closing ceremony themes will be on the concept of 4 ceremonies, which include coexistence, peace, the future, and reconstruction. Besides, this ceremony will also encourage the audiences to watch the Paralympics, which will start on August 24 and last till September 5.
The Chief Creative Director and the producer will be the same as the opening ceremony, and all the necessary preparations for the closing ceremony are done.
The closing ceremony venue is the same as the opening ceremony venue. So, the Japan National Stadium will host the Olympic closing ceremony. However, the stadium is already handed over to the Olympic committee to prepare for the closing ceremony.
Although it is almost 6 months away from now, the total number of allowed attendants is not confirmed yet due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Olympic committee will announce the permitted spectators’ number soon.
